Why cats hunt

Cats don't only hunt when they're hungry. It's just the sound of moving prey that makes them go into hunting mode.

Cats are very good climbers because their long claws grip on the tree trunk. Then they pull their selves up.   

Cats have fur because it provides the cat's body insulation against heat and cold. Fur is to keep the cat cool on warm days and to keep it warm on cold days.

 Some people believe the nine lives myth is related to cats' ability to always land on their feet.  Over time, people witnessed cats survive in situations that surely would have severely injured other animals.
